New Faculty Success Program

Sessions for 2018-19

United Academics and the Office of the Provost invite all first, second, and third-year tenure track and career non-tenure-track faculty to the program's monthly sessions (held on Thursdays from noon-2 with lunch provided). Workshops will be addressing topics that include:

  • Establishing and implementing your research plan
  • Developing a teaching, research, and personal support network on campus
  • Navigating departmental and institutional cultures
  • External grants and fellowships
  • Approaches to undergraduate and graduate student mentoring
  • Book proposals and working with presses and journal editors
  • Meeting your equity and inclusion obligations
