Pride and Faculty of Color Caucus
The results of the surveys are in! This term, we are going to combine these caucuses for a social event off campus. Just a safe space to share and enjoy each others company. Network with fellow faculty, and talk with your colleagues and your union leadership!
Winter Representative Assembly I
Representative Assemblies are for UA Representatives and Stewards. They occur during Week 3 and Week 7 of each quarter. The meeting will be held as a hybrid event, in the Union Hall and on Zoom. Additional details will be available closer to the event. You can Zoom in here!
Winter General Membership Meeting
Held the fifth week of each academic quarter (except summer). The Winter Term GMM will be held on February 6, 2024, from 5:00-7:00pm. Lunch and beverages will be provided. Please email [email protected] if you would like to request accommodations.

Caucus Meetings & Socials
Some caucuses are social, some are working groups. All are important for building community.
Working Families Caucus
The Working Families Caucus formed in response to concerns about the University of Oregon’s family and parental leave policies, as well as other concerns of working family members, like caregiving. Email Ed Wolf at [email protected] if you are interested in joining the Working Families Caucus.
Pride Caucus
The UA Pride Caucus aims to foster connection and solidarity among faculty from across campus who care about workplace and social issues related to gender identity and sexual orientation. Email Ed Wolf at [email protected] if you are interested in joining the Pride Caucus.
Faculty of Color Caucus
The caucus understands its constituency expansively. It is a forum for faculty who care about issues of equity, inclusion, and diversity in the workplace and off campus. Email Ed Wolf at [email protected] if you are interested in joining the Faculty of Color Caucus.
Career & Pro Tem Instructor Caucus
This caucus is a forum dedicated to celebrating and uplifting the teaching profession and those who teach on our campus. Email Ed Wolf at [email protected] if you are interested in joining the Career & Pro Tem Instructor Caucus.
Committees
Standing Committees meet regularly and are always looking for new members. If you are a UA member interested in serving on a committee, email us.
CONTRACT ACTION TEAM
The CAT works to support the Bargaining Team during and in the run-up to bargaining. This year the CAT is combined with the Organizing & Membership Committee to form OMCAT.
GRIEVANCE & CONTRACT ADMINISTRATION
GCAC helps faculty during the grievance process, and in assessing whether informal processes may lead to a better outcome. GCAC works closely with the VPs for faculty affairs on matters of promotion denial.
FINANCE & BUDGET
The Finance & Budget Committee proposes the annual budget to the Representative Assembly for approval. They ensure United Academics remains a financially viable organization.
POLITICS
The Politics Committee vets endorsements for local and state-wide political office. They also help direct the legislative priorities of the lobbyists of our state affiliates, and maintain relationships with local politicians and university lobbyists.
COMMUNICATIONS
The Communications Committee is the editorial board for the Duck & Cover newsletter, our social media feeds, out-going email communications and press releases. They determine the tone of all of our external communications.
ORGANIZING & MEMBERSHIP
Organinzing & Membership (currently combined with the CAT to form OMCAT) is responsible for building the United Academics community.
